Max Viale-Sole Vice Chairman
Hi My name is Massimilliano (Max) Viale-Sole. I’ve been involved with South Norfolk Youth Action (SNYA) for twelve months and I have recently been elected to the post of Vice Chairperson. I feel strongly about issues of public transport and the environment. I feel that over the next twelve months we should increase awareness that these issues effect young people strongly.I decided to join South Norfolk Youth Action after hearing about it through my school council. I felt that it was a away to express my opinions in a structured and useful way that helped the council. I also have a keen interest in politics. The most recent project that I became involved with was ‘Young People As Police Trainers’ in which I filmed the action from a ‘Cherry Picker’ (Basically a tall crane) I also learnt a lot from the police on the day.I hope I have given you an insight into the life of SNYA and I am looking forward to hearing your opinions very soon, Max |

I’m Indea Cadman-Rivers, secretary of SNYA. I have been a member of SNYA since 2005 and am honoured to be a part of such a wonderful team. My role within this group is to make sure all correspondence is distributed and dealt with, I also make sure that all minutes are made. SNYA is accessible to all young people who want to join, it is very special in the fact that change is made as a direct result of our views and action and there is such a wide spectrum of people involved. There’s a plethora of issues that you can, and probably will, have an opinion on. My main objection is public transport, since I live in a village, this greatly affects me. Many people think the same; however, many others don’t. SNYA represents a broad variety of viewpoints and SNYA enables you to voice your views either with like-minded people or some who are likely to contest you – that is, I believe, what makes SNYA so great.

Lucy Hoddy Chair Hello I’m Lucy, I am 16 years old and Chairperson of South Norfolk Youth Action (SNYA). Over the last twelve months we have taken part in Go-Elephant, a community arts project in Norwich. This was a fantastic success and I am very proud of our achievements. It was a great honour to work with a professional artist, Clare Steward, who mentored and supported us throughout. We hope to have many more similar opportunities in the future. This year we are going to focus efforts on transport, reducing the voting age to 16 and issues that are important to young people such as you. I became interested in South Norfolk Youth Action after I attended Local Democracy Week at South Norfolk Council, until then I did not realise that there was an opportunity to have my voice heard. If you would like to give it a try why not come along to one of our meetings where you will receive a warm welcome.I hope to see you there Lucy Hoddy. |

Toby Limbach- Treasurer Ich heipe Tobias und ich habe seit 3 jahren zu SNYA gehort. The issues I feel strongly about are so called green issues, as I think we should be able to live in a pleasant environment that doesn’t negatively impact the lives of others I have been involved with exciting projects such as elephants in Norwich and interviewed some of the youth in Wayland in light of their ambitious projects they are planning. I’ve also taken part in the selection process of the next CE of South Norfolk Council by meeting with the candidates. |

Hello I’m Keisha. I am a committee member of South Norfolk Youth Action. I attend City College Norwich where I am studying media.I feel strongly about involving young people in South Norfolk; free public transport for under eighteen’s, promoting a positive image of South Norfolk’s young people and creating awareness of current environmental issues and actively seeking solutions.I believe it is good to think outside the box, to speak from your heart and pursue everything to the end.I want to involve young people in artistic and musical projects in our community, two areas that are my strong points.Everyone will enjoy SNYA everyone can benefit from it and we can benefit from you |
