Lucy Hoddy Chair

Hello I’m Lucy, I am 16 years old and Chairperson of South Norfolk Youth Action (SNYA). Over the last twelve months we have taken part in Go-Elephant, a community arts project in Norwich. This was a fantastic success and I am very proud of our achievements. It was a great honour to work with a professional artist, Clare Steward, who mentored and supported us throughout. We hope to have many more similar opportunities in the future. This year we are going to focus efforts on transport, reducing the voting age to 16 and issues that are important to young people such as you. I became interested in South Norfolk Youth Action after I attended Local Democracy Week at South Norfolk Council, until then I did not realise that there was an opportunity to have my voice heard.
